Nuevahola. Art direction and design for a Cineplexx's compilation CD. London (2009).

As "Nuevahola" is a Cineplexx compilation gathering new, old and rare songs by the artist, Sir Alan came with the idea of creating some kind of mosaic/patchwork full of imagery representing this kind of "look back to continue moving forward".
Something bold and baroque, an image compilation for a song compilation.

*Below is the 12 page, fold out poster booklet shown back (on the left) and front (on the right).

Cineplexx. Mejor & Mejor Copacabana Remix. CD Single Designs. London (2009).

Mejor digital single was released thanks to Cherry Red Records. The single contains "Mejor", a delightful, festive, tropical song great for sunny days; "Paint It Black", a pensive and mantric cover of The Rolling Stones and a previously unreleased folkie demo "Sentada".

Mejor Copacabana Mix has an infectious brazilian mood that your hips will love. Click here and download the song for free!

*Also Sir Alan collaborated as image consultant on Mejor's videoclip.

Cineplexx and friends. Poster designs. Barcelona (2009).

Analogic illustration and design applied to a couple of indie music posters.

Âme de la Suisse. Total Brand Creation. Switzerland (2006-2007). Naming, branding, art direction & design...

For Ame de la Suisse, a new line of high-end cosmetic products, we created the naming, branding, all the applications of the corporate identity, packaging, and other elements. The design of each product reflects the clean, sophisticated style and technology that are inevitably associated with all things Swiss. Classic Swiss typography, neutral tones, and simple images were used for the advertisements and POS.

Pin team. pin·mag identity for an e-zine Barcelona (2005). Art direction & design...

Graphic identity for pin·team, the group that published pin·mag, a digital magazine that followed the latest in fashion and design trends. The web design concept was based on "Post-It" notes and their use as daily reminders and memos. The graphics are bold and use the company's three main identifying colours. For this project we created the e-zine's logo, applications of the corporate identity, website design, and merchandising products.

Galapagos Safari Camp. Corporate identity, illustrations, website...The Galapagos Islands (2007). Art direction, design and illustration.

Galapagos Safari Camp is a luxury ecological camping ground in the Galapagos Islands. When creating the corporate identity for the Camp, we were inspired by the naturalist aesthetics of Darwin's field notebook. The look created evokes this style with illustrations adapted to contemporary aesthetics. The result is a collection of visual references to local flora and fauna, and to the wanderlust-inducing tropical location of the Camp.

Check-in selectors. Graphic identity and applications. Barcelona (2006). Art direction & design.

Identity design for Check-in radio program. Acid colours, bold geometric fonts and different images were used to transmit the eclectic taste from this musical program. Every program is about a different country, with an indie band compilation from that place. Logo, business cards and CD designs were made for this project.

Cineplexx. Picnic digipack. Barcelona (2007). Lettering, photographs, art direction and graphic design* for latest Cineplexx music album.

Like some kind of pop psychedelic picnic, this lovely record was conceived with a design to match it… Pop in the first approach (cover and back) and experimental with further listening and viewing (digipack inside). Collage, nature, polaroid pictures from scratch (no Photoshop mister!)... an organic design ode for a beautiful rich album. For more info visit Cineplexx website.

*The design was developed with the collaboration of Mr. Cineplexx himself a.k.a Tea Time Studio.

Global Luxury Consultants. Identity, first drafts. New York (2007). Art direction and design.

Work in progress for the ID development of an NYC based Luxury Brand Consultants. Three different styles; the classic, the secessionist friendly and the calligraphic urban elegance...

Leumann. Jupiter Lander. Buenos Aires (2005). CD + poster design.

CD & development of promotional material for Jupiter Lander album by Leumann. Based on the famous retro videogame of the same name but being revisited with a join-the-dots concept, all to communicate the delicate soundscapes & sci-fi sounds in the record. *joining the dots in the record appears the original space car from the game.

L'Oréal Professionnel. Sales book Majirel a/w 05. Madrid (2005). Art direction & design.

Majirel line was created for women with a classic style who also like to be perched right on the cutting-edge of fashion. For the "Feminine Dandy" collection, we developed a visual concept of modern decadence and the "aristocratic rock star" that reflected the extravagant, theatrical and eccentric looks of the collection. The design used elements of collage to juxtapose the romantic with the edgy in the manner of an old-fashioned scrapbook.

L'Oréal Professionnel. Sales book A/W 06-07. Madrid (2006). Art direction and design.

The Autumn/Winter 2006 collection of L'Oréal Professionnel line is entitled "Rare Species", a concept that reflects the aesthetic power of animals and nature. The idea for the graphic development of the sales book played with mutations between the plant, animal and mineral worlds, an atmosphere of mystery and the night, all represented by the use of collage and organic shapes.

L'Oréal Professionnel. Sales book Luocolor a/w 05. Madrid (2005). Art direction & design.

The theme of the Autumn/Winter '05/'06 Luocolor collection, designed for younger women with an edgy and experimental style, was "Rock Doll." When creating the design of the sales book, we used a retro '80s look, with Polaroid snapshots in bright colours and a DYI feel, as if the models were rock stars hanging out backstage at a concert.
